The fully accredited Level 1 Beauty Therapy Certificate is perfect for those looking to complete a well-rounded, beginner-friendly beauty therapy training course.

• In the course, students will master fundamental commercial beauty treatments, including Manicures & pedicures, Facials, and Brow & Lash Treatments, alongside the theoretical understanding behind these popular treatments.
• The course is run as a part-time option, 2 days a week

What You Will Learn

The extremely popular course is designed for beginners who want to start their journey in professional beauty therapy.

During the course, students will cover the following modules set out NAQAA to complete their accredited qualification, ensuring they have the skills required to thrive as junior beauty therapists.

Facials and Skincare:

• Skin Analysis
• Cleansing, balancing, toning & moisturising
• Steaming, Extraction and Full Facial Massage
• Selecting, mixing and applying tailor-made face masques
• The theory in this module involves the anatomy & physiology of the upper torso, including the muscles, bones, blood and nerve supply
• Theory of the skin

Manicure & Pedicure:

• Maintenance and care techniques for the nails, the skin of the hands and feet
• The application of colour to the nails on both hands and feet
• French manicure and pedicure techniques
• The theory of this unit includes an in-depth study of the structure of the nail as well as the anatomy and physiology of the rest of the lower leg and forearms

General Competencies:

• Contraindications to all treatments
• Client consultation & selling techniques
• Classroom salon experience and management duties

The course will assess students through tutor observations and practical and theoretical exams. They will also need to hand in a portfolio of treatments within 12 weeks of completing the course.

You will receive the GSQ Level 1 Beauty Therapy Studies Certificate upon completion.

Entry Requirements

• Students must be at least 18 years old to enrol in the course – there are no exceptions.
• To complete the coursework and examinations, learners must have a basic standard of English language, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• No previous experience is required, although students are expected to have a strong interest.

30% required to secure your place
