Course Description

This 6-month Entrepreneurship course equips aspiring business owners with practical skills to launch and manage successful ventures, focusing on planning, funding, operations, and growth strategies tailored for small businesses in sectors like health, beauty, and vocational training.

What You Will Learn

• Business planning: Develop comprehensive business plans, market research, and financial forecasting using tools like spreadsheets for budgeting and cash flow analysis.
• Funding and finance: Explore grant applications, pitching to investors, basic accounting, pricing strategies, and accessing microfinance options relevant to The Gambia.
• Marketing and sales: Master digital marketing, customer acquisition, branding, and sales techniques for service-based enterprises.
• Operations and management: Cover legal setup, HR basics, supply chain management, risk assessment, and scaling operations sustainably.
• Innovation and growth: Learn problem-solving, innovation frameworks, leadership skills, and measuring business performance through KPIs.

Entry Requirements

• Basic education: Completion of secondary school (WAEC/equivalent) or vocational certificate (e.g., GSQ Level 2 in business-related fields).
• Age and experience: Minimum 18 years old; prior work experience in business, sales, or management preferred but not mandatory.
• Skills: Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email); interest in entrepreneurship demonstrated via a short motivation statement.
• Other: Commitment to attend all sessions (part-time, 4-6 hours/week) and complete assignments; no prior business ownership required.

This only applies to a single payment made no later than 7 days prior to the course date.

Option 2 – Pay by instalment

Deposit

30% non-refundable deposit required to secure your place

D12,000.00

Remaining balance of D28,000.00 to be paid in 2 instalments

D18,000.00 to be paid 7 days prior to the course start date and the remainder balance of D10,000.00 to be paid after completion of the first term.
