The SASS Foundation
The SASS Foundation empowers underprivileged youth in The Gambia through targeted vocational training and employability programs.
Our Mission
The SASS Foundation is dedicated to uplifting underprivileged young women and youth in The Gambia by providing essential vocational skills training. We bridge the gap between education and opportunity, fostering self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods in communities where access to quality training is limited.
Focus on Young Persons with Disabilities
Our core initiative targets underprivileged young women especially the ones that are physically challenged equipping them with practical vocational skills such as cosmetology, Health and Beauty Services, Makeup Artistry, Customer Services and Basic Entrepreneurship. These programs emphasise hands-on learning in safe, supportive environments, building confidence and technical expertise to launch careers or start small businesses.
Employability Plus Program
Extending our impact, the Employability Plus initiative opens doors for both male and female youth to secure sustainable employment. Participants gain job readiness skills including resume building, interview techniques, digital literacy, and workplace etiquette, alongside partnerships with local employers for internships and job placements.
Impact and Vision
By addressing unemployment and skill shortages, the SASS Foundation creates pathways to economic independence and community development. We envision a Gambia where every young person, regardless of background, thrives through education and opportunity. Join us in transforming lives donate, partner, or volunteer today.
