Course description

What You Will Learn

• Styling & Dressing: Blow-drying, heat styling, (curls, waves, straightening), updos and plaiting/braiding.
• Brading With Extension: – Tresse, Single Plaits, Torsaat, Twist Plaiting

• Cutting: Precision cutting, layering, graduation, texturizing, clipper work, and razor cutting.
• Colouring:  Colour theory, global application, highlights, balayage, ombré, and toner usage.
• Hair Extensions: Weaves, Wig Making, Lace Wig Installation
• Hair & Scalp Treatments: Diagnosis, product selection, and performing treatments like hair spas.
• Specialised Techniques: Perming, relaxing, and working with hair extensions.

 

Client & Salon Skills

• Consultation: Advising clients on styles, colours, and treatments based on hair/face shape.
• Customer Service: Communication, teamwork, and creating a positive client experience.
• Health & Safety: Maintaining hygiene, understanding salon safety, and product safety.
• Salon Management: Inventory, scheduling, promoting services/products, and professional presentation.

• The course will assess students through tutor observations and practical and theoretical exams. They will also need to hand in a portfolio of treatments within 12 weeks of completing the course.

Entry Requirements

• Students must be at least 18 years old to enrol in the course – there are no exceptions.

• Hairdressing Level 1 Certificate is required, and students are expected to have a strong interest.
• An informal interview is required for this course, either by phone or in person.

30% non-refundable deposit required to secure your place

Remaining balance of D40,075.00 to be paid in 2 instalments

D20,075.00 to be paid 10 days prior to the course start date and the remainder balance of D20,000.00 to be paid after completion of the first term.
